You are not alone.
No one moves through life completely unscathed.
Regardless of our background, gender, or identity, we all encounter moments of difficulty, uncertainty, and disruption. At times, these experiences can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward.
Maybe you are struggling with a new change in your life, maybe you have lost a loved one, or maybe you are simply feeling that the ways you have learned to cope are no longer working for you. You may find yourself spiraling, caught in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, stress, or self-criticism.
Sometimes the stigma that still exists around mental health struggles can make many of us feel ashamed for not being able to function in the way that is expected of us.
But there is no true shame in needing support.
Struggling is part of being human, and acknowledging when you need help is a sign of strength.
Therapy can offer a space to slow down. It can help you gain greater insight into yourself, put what you are experiencing into context, explore and navigate through your emotions, make sense of your needs, and communicate more effectively with the people in your life.
The process may sometimes feel difficult or uncomfortable. But with time, openness, and the right therapist as your navigator, you can come away with a deeper understanding of yourself and feel better equipped to navigate whatever difficulties life may bring.
Note: Skye is not currently taking on any clients due to the administrative nature of her final MSW practicum.
Select therapists with Therapy Uninterrupted are registered with the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program and with the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) for certain groups of people in Canada. Please check with the relevant agencies to see if you qualify for mental health coverage through these programs, or follow the links provided in this paragraph accordingly.
