What to Expect
Time in Nature
Spending a session with your therapist outside in a green space.
Movement
Walking and moving your body throughout most or all of the session.
Grounding
Adding mindfulness into your sessions through connection to nature and your body.
Things To Consider
Different Processing
Walking side-by-side with your therapist can help to process things differently than being face-to-face, which can feel less intimidating or easier for some.
Weather Dependent
Walk and Talk sessions only happen in safe and decent weather, which means that sessions may change to virtual if weather doesn't cooperate.
Public Discussion
Your therapist will talk with you about how to keep your sessions as private as possible, and there's a risk of being overheard when you're outside in public.
